I am Srilakshmi, 33 year old emerging Graphical Designer and Story book illustrator living in Leeds, United Kingdom along with my hubby and my little one Siddhu. Basically a Mechanical Engineer professional worked for 7 years in India prior to my arrival to United Kingdom and now my complete time is being shared by my little one and Wacom drawing tab :)
How did I get the idea of doing flash cards and children's book illustrations?

Siddhu’s daily life goes around only with me and my husband. Since my hubby is an IT guy, I was the soul interaction for him to grow up. Honestly as days passed, he was growing so fast and demanded a variety of things to explore. Even though, I took him to many play groups regularly, he was so greedy to learn new things. Hence I started to prepare flash cards on my own and taught him. I hunted internet for ideas to keep him busy at home. In this process, I started with small activities for him with the household items and later I bought few less expensive things from shops. In addition to that, I started creating worksheets for him and this indulged me to do more worksheets creatively on various topics. Slowly, it created a massive interest in me to teach him anything in a practical and creative way. I have invested around two years to learn various art forms and illustrations which encouraged me to start my journey of creating children's book. So far I have successfully published four children's book and hoping to do much more in future. I would like to share my ideas, flashcards, worksheets and books to all the aspiring mom's and I believe that this website may help someone.
