"Imagination has no limit”
The main reason to include this topic because more than my kid, I used this play dough so much and off course it opened a creative side of mine :)
Play dough is one of the fantastic kits for kids to engage at home continuously for longer span of time which is one of the challenging tasks for any parent. It is fun, colourful sensory activity for kids. Dough can be used to make fruits, vegetables, animals, flowers, sea creatures, shapes, planets and so on. Kids can use their imagination to create anything as they like.
The foremost advantage of using play dough is it strengthens the hand muscles. Thereby it enhances the finger grips of the child for writing. It improves the fine motor skill of the child.
My Play dough kit contains limited fruits, shapes and animal moulds. During initial days, I used to create different objects for him using the moulds from the kit, its name and even done counting with play dough items. Slowly I explored and created many more items on my own. At the same time, I used to give him a bowl of all colours in small amount and he used to play on his own. Gradually I started involving him in using roller, pressing moulds and cutting using knife. Later point of time, I started giving him small activities like keeping six dots for a lady bird, fix wheels for a car and so on.
Here by I would like to share my activities which I have done with my little one at home and I believe this post may help someone.
This was the first day of our activity after we bought play dough.
Then I tried to create fruits names as my kid is always loves to play with real fruits and vegetables. To add more fun, keep the real fruits too besides the play dough ones. This activity also helps to improve their vocabulary and learning new words.

My Kid is so crazy about Planets. Always he will keep his hands towards sky and used to talk about travel to space to see planets using space ship. He himself ask me to create planets whenever we sit with play dough.
The third thing which he likes the most is vehicles. So I thought to teach the mode of transport using Play dough. To be honest, when I started to do I have no idea apart from the theme but I was very happy at the end to see the sheets came very well. I involved him in using roller and pressing shapes. This activity also helps to improve their vocabulary and learning new words.

You can give daily an activity with play dough and I am so sure that kids will surely enjoy and have fun.
You can also indulge the cutting skills using play dough. I started with play dough only and also after cutting we used to sort colours, and done counting too.
